Bridge Construction Important Update

Dear Portage Citizens,
The Portage Fire Department needs your help. During the current bridge construction, a temporary emergency access route has been left open to ensure we can respond to emergencies quickly.
However, we have been informed that non-emergency vehicles are using this access point without authorization. If this continues, the route will be blocked off entirely. Losing this access would significantly increase our emergency response times.
We ask that you speak with your family and friends and remind them to use only the officially outlined detour routes. Please help us maintain this vital access for the safety of our community.
